The Finance Accounting Sr. Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare or review legal entity structural event changes associated with FR Y-10 and FR Y-6 reporting to the Federal Reserve Bank using our internal legal entity tracking database.
• Prepare or review various monthly, quarterly, and annual financial, regulatory, management and liquidity reporting for Delaware based holding companies.
• Responsible for Corp Items Managed Segment finance including plan, outlook and CCAR submission
• Responsible for analyzing Corp Items Managed Segment Actual results to the various forecast scenarios
• Execute the month-end close process, ensuring legal vehicles’ financial statements are properly stated before submission to the corporate reporting system.
• Partner with Corporate and Corporate FP&A to manage Corp Items Managed Segment
• Maintain records in support of the consolidation and tax activity including preparation or review of journal vouchers, timely and accurate reconciliation of consolidation reporting system and variance analysis.
• Maintain strong controls for various legal vehicles.
• Interface with Corporate Controllers, Corporate Tax, Citigroup Treasury, and other Finance, Legal, and Compliance staff on a global basis for information collection and issue resolution.
• Maintain sub ledger files and journal detail including sufficient and appropriate supporting documentation.
• Responsible for data analysis and data remediation.
• Responsible for directing and coordinating the efforts of staff, which includes training of new and existing staff.
• Coordinate preparation and review of required financial and management reporting to the DHC Boards and Federal Reserve, as needed.
• Complete special projects as assigned by management.
• Create and maintain database information related to financial adjustments and reporting.
Qualifications:
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 5+ years' public or relevant private accounting or finance experience or equivalent time doing FR Y-6 and or FR Y-10 reporting (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
• Advanced database management skills required
• Must have US work authorization, this position is not sponsoring visas
• Knowledge of US GAAP and Legal Vehicle Compliance
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of management
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet strict reporting deadlines
• Ability to effectively manage projects through to timely completion
• Supervisory experience a plus
• A results-oriented individual
Critical Competencies:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance (desired ).
