Our vision is to develop Pfizer Connect into an industry leading capability designed to meet our customers “where they are” by deploying innovative outbound virtual engagement approaches to increase brand awareness, knowledge and understanding of our services, while enhancing our relationship and relevance with our customer base.  This role is responsible for setting and executing BU(s) specific National Sales strategies which enable the team to meet or exceed all promotional goals for an assigned list of HCP customers for a set of assigned products.  This is done through close collaboration with the BU sales organization, Pfizer Connect Area Business Managers and other Customer Facing Teams as a leader of a robust Sales platform educating HCPs and stakeholders to advance appropriate, recommended use of our medicines and / or vaccines.  The successful leader will embrace their role as a leader of change, create a positive team culture and model compliance and integrity at all times.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads Outbound Sales for Dedicated BU(s):
• Develops and communicates National sales strategies and goals in partnership with the BU Sales team for Pfizer Connect; Ensures Pfizer Connect Area Business Managers (PC-ABMs) incorporate those strategies in the creation of sound Business Plans to deliver against sales / revenue targets for an assigned list of HCP customers
• Develops and advances a deep knowledge of national drivers for diverse customer channels
• Directly accountable for the optimal usage of all virtual customer engagement tools , platforms and materials by the team to create the ideal customer experience.  Ensures the team is trained in and applies continually evolving virtual excellence tools, digital platforms and future portal resources.
• Tracks defined performance metrics and leverages local knowledge to refine strategic and tactical deployments to diverse channels
• Identifies short, mid-term and long-term sources of business opportunities and tracks against a cross functional implementation plan
• Develops, leads execution of and monitors work load and call plans .  Provides direction and guidance to the sales team on call plan execution and updates direction as needed based on portfolio, seasonal opportunities or market conditions
• Ensures team is proficient in and provides regular coaching on product and remote excellence capabilities
• Performs ongoing analysis of business conditions including regular conferences with team members and key customers, in partnership with other Customer Facing team leaders
Interface with BU Leadership
• Positions Pfizer Connect as a strong, strategic lever for the BU Sales VP by understanding their business needs, identifying how Pfizer Connect can enhance their outcomes and effectively executing strategies to achieve aligned goals and objectives
• Establish and foster a tight working relationship at all levels between Pfizer Connect and BU Leadership, maximizing ways of working and business outcomes
• Collect and share insights about our customers , their experience and their expectations with the BU and Pfizer Connect leadership teams; Continually improve Pfizer Connect ways of working, processes and incentives
• Make recommendations to VP Pfizer Connect Lead and VP Sales to optimize allocation of resources , use of technology and results
• Works collaboratively with peers to share lessons learned from successes and failures to achieve scalability of solutions while avoiding duplication and redundancy of effort
Pfizer Connect Leadership
• Member of the Pfizer Connect Leadership team and accountable, with the VP of Pfizer Connect, to continually advance the quality and performance of the organization
• Recruit, hire, onboard and develop high-performing talent creating a diverse pipeline for Pfizer Connect, Biopharma and Pfizer
• Drive and reinforce a customer-centric culture where colleagues take immense pride in being the “face of Pfizer”, where customer experience is measured and prioritized, and goals, processes, incentives and rewards are aligned
• Develop and use metrics to measure performance within team and ensure optimal performance management, feedback and coaching in remote excellence
• Champions compliance and integrity at all times
• Leverages defined competencies for coaching feedback and colleague development
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred
• 15+ years of experience required ; 12-13 with advanced degree
• Demonstrated success leading business sales teams
• Familiarity with US pharmaceutical marketplace , channels and dynamics required;  preferably across several different therapeutic areas and functions
• Track record of exceptional leadership with an ability to set a vision, lead bold, pioneering initiatives, lead change and develop colleagues
• Strong executive presence and capability to confidently represent the business with senior leaders and stakeholders as required
• Proven track record of KPI achievement including P&L / revenue targets
• Strong data-driven performance orientation to take our organization to the next level
Preferred
• Prior inside sales experience preferred
• Prior leader of leader experience preferred
• Prior Digital Marketing experience preferred
• Experience in a best-in-class marketing & sales development tech stack (e.g., CRM, sales engagement / sales enablement SW)
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Some domestic travel required, primarily between NYHQ and Pfizer Connect Centers
