Located in downtown Tampa, the Straz Center is seeking candidates who have a passion for advancing the Arts and embrace the Straz Center's mission, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
The HR Administrator provides day-to-day HR support for 450+ employees as part of our HR team. The Administrator will process, maintain, and file documentation to support HR policies and procedures, benefits and employee programs. The successful candidate should be self-motivated, possess knowledge and understanding of human resources policies and procedures and be able to function in a large, fast paced, demanding and dynamic environment. Strong analytical and excellent written and verbal business communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously are necessary.

Responsibilities include:
• Assists management in the day-to-day process of different human resources functions: benefits administration, FMLA, organization, staffing, employee relations, performance management, employee development opportunities, training, etc.
• Acts as a point of contact for employee queries about HR-related issues, especially benefits related questions. Partners with the Sr. Director of HR on a regular basis to problem-solve and establish SOPs.
• Manages the administration of all leaves of absence and Workers Compensation claims in partnership with supervisors and the Sr. Director of HR. Maintains OSHA logs.
• Coordinates HR events, training sessions, benefits open enrollment and company-wide meetings.
• Participates in HR projects.
• Liaises with internal partners and provides supervisors with training on HR related systems such as ApplicantPro, Hireforms, Docusign, Paylocity, Employee Navigator, ThinkHR, etc.
• Administers and documents all separations and offboarding processes.
• Processes, verifies, and maintains documentation relating to HR activities. Maintains SOP documentation.
• Processes, runs reports, and ensures accuracy in Paylocity HRIS system. Creates regular reports on HR metrics.
• Assists the Payroll Administrator with bi-weekly payroll and serve as back-up in that's person's absence.
• Ensures an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
• Assists with a variety of HR projects and performs other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must be available to work on-site daily.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in an HR role (HR Administrator, Generalist, Specialist, HR Assistant, Payroll, or relevant role)
• Experience using HR software / HRIS systems on a daily basis is required. Paylocity experience a plus.
• Experience in handling payroll activities for 300+ employees preferred.
• Must have knowledge and experience with HR concepts, practices, and procedures (laws, benefits, payroll, performance evaluation, organizational environment, recruiting, etc.).
• Strong computer skills in MS Office, most specifically advanced Excel and Outlook required. Office 365 proficiency a plus.
• Availability to work in a fast-paced environment and switch from one task to another throughout the day.
• Must be able to consistently exhibit sound judgement and partner on issues with the Sr. Director of HR when applicable.
• Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects.
• Strong phone, verbal and written (email) communication skills.
• Strong Customer Service skills paired with ability to problem-solve.
• Proven time management skills.
• Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree required (Major in Business or Human Resources preferred)
