Full-Time Job Details Description The Cyber Security Engineer will provide assistance in day-to-day security operations and audit compliance operations for IT Security Operations Team, primarily focusing on technology issues. This position is approved to work remote within the United States. Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key AccountabilitiesMember of the Incident Response Team (IRT) to help plan and participate in incident response actions. Initiates security response procedures when a problem is detected. Resolves incident tickets addressed to Security team.Review and appropriately respond to alerts in SIEM, endpoint security tools and user reported issues.  Incorporate correlations rules based on current trends and threat intelligence. Manages security portfolio to include renewal of digital certificates, administering user accounts and access to Privileged Access Management, endpoint detection and response, anti-virus, spyware and malware solutions, and multi-factor authentication.Reviews user access to production systems and applications. Performs daily reviews of OS and network changes. Works with System Engineers and administrators in identifying patches and address vulnerabilities. Experience with script development for automating Security tasks and processes using PowerShell, Python or other scripting language.Maintains security related servers including maintenance on security servers applying patches to OS and updating packages and applications.Maintains procedures and devices in compliance with PCI regulations and other regulatory authorities as required by business. Familiarity with OS hardening and CIS standards and common security frameworks (i.e. NIST, MITRE Att&ck)Education and ExperienceTypically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 2-5 years of experience as an Analyst or Engineer in an enterprise security role.
