IT Change and Problem Management Process Owner
What Will You Do?
The IT Change and Problem Management Process Owner will oversee and lead Change and Problem Management governance and maturity initiatives, applying process expertise to drive results. The IT Change and Problem Management Process Owner is accountable to articulate the vision, define scope, establish goals, and provide direction for teams to design, develop and deliver technology and processes to deliver healthy and robust Change and Problem Management Processes. The IT Process Owner navigates complex priority discussions, manages delivery expectations, and decision logs with stakeholders. This role also ensures cross-functional dependencies are identified and communication plans are executed. They will convert technical requirements into Epics, Features, and a prioritized backlog of User Stories that the technical delivery team uses for the execution of product delivery while meeting regulatory and policy compliance.
• Lead the data integration, data engineering, and data architecture team
• Responsible for the IT Change and Problem Management vision, strategy, design, implementation and associated data maintenance processes. This includes discovery and service mapping strategies and processes.
• Execute IT Change and Problem Management processes (either directly or delegated).
• Ensure IT Change and Problem Management strategic alignment and process health in order to support Ashley’s business and IT goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and domain experts across Ashley’s IT Teams to understand challenges and gain consensus on IT Change and Problem governance and processes.
• Drive adoption of IT Change and Problem Management processes.
• Manage all documentation associated with the IT Change and Problem Management processes and conduct user training as needed.
• Research and propose process, policy or technology recommendations to align with developed vision, road map, maturity model and strategy.
• Define Critical Success Factors, Process Metrics and KPIs that demonstrate the health of IT Change and Problem Management and identify gaps in process. Establish plans to close identified gaps.
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
• Elicit requirements through interviews, document analysis, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
• Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following as needed: functional requirements through the Business Requirements Document (BRD); use cases; and Graphical User Interface (GUI), screen and interface designs.
• Perform system set-up, configuration, administrative duties and testing.
What Do You Need?
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with IT Change Management.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with IT Problem Management.
• Minimum 3 years as an ITIL process owner, manager.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in large IT organization
• ITIL Foundations V3 or V4
• Strong Knowledge of industry best practices and trends IT Change Management
• Strong Knowledge of industry best practices and trends IT Problem Management
• Knowledgeable of Risk assessment methods and best practices
• Knowledgeable of Root Cause Analysis methodologies
• Knowledgeable of both on-premise and cloud infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of Agile delivery processes
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong As-Is, To-Be, Business Process mapping skills
• Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar technical discipline, or equivalent work experience, Required
