Full Job Description Hendrick Screen Company is currently looking for a Machine Operator for our Kentucky location.
Duties of Position:
The individual who functions in this position must carry out all of the day to day functions associated with being a Machine Operator. To qualify as a Machine Operator an individual must be able to perform all of the following:
1.Produce product as described in the shop order.
2.Set proper die clearance.
3.Select proper punch grade.
4.Select and apply proper lubrication.
5.Detect when a tool needs to be serviced.
6.Read shop orders and set up a tool accordingly.
7.Roll pressure if required
8.Determine and set slide and stripper settings.
9.Perform routine maintenance on machine.
10.Pull inventory and record usage.
11.Perform other duties and assignments as required including those when reassigned or transferred and regardless of whether duties are related to his/her normal duties.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
Skills:
Must possess basic math and reading skills
Requires ability to read a tape measure, calipers, read blue prints, micrometer, taper gauges and feeler gauges.
Requires ability to assemble from blue prints, sketches, and instructions.
Requires ability to operate tool service equipment
Experience:
1-Year of mechanical experience preferably in a manufacturing or vo-tech environment.
Supervision:
Minimal supervision after initial training period.
Physical Demands:
Requires ability to lift 60 lbs. unassisted; 80 lbs. assisted.
Standing for extended periods of time.
Stooping, bending stretching as necessary. Requires good hand to eye coordination.
