Overview / Job Summary
Commonwealth Rolled Products is a leading manufacturer of Aluminum rolled products for the Automotive, Commercial, and Industrial markets. The Company operates its production facility in Lewisport, KY with the support of an Automotive Innovation Center for R&D,  Sales and Field Service in Madison Heights (DET), and Inside Sales in the Cleveland, OH area.
Our business is seeking to add a talented Multi-craft Maintenance Technician to it's Lewisport CALP department.  The purpose of this role is to maintain and take proactive measures to ensure all equipment is operational and functional to meet the production and quality requirements.
Responsibilities Include
• Able to always work in a safe and cooperative manner within the Company policies and procedures
• Perform & document preventative/predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical CM/CALP line equipment in accordance with standardized procedures to minimize downtime and meet department KPIs
• Perform Daily Patrol Routes and utilize VPM system to document results
• Participate in daily turnover meetings to ensure shift to shift communication
• Utilize CMMS system to document downtime events to capture equipment downtime history
• Assemble and test hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment and systems for the CM/CALP line
• Fabricate, machine and repair fixtures and parts for projects, equipment repair maintenance work orders and machine modifications on the CM/CALP line
• Utilize PLC’s and HMI’s to troubleshoot, modify and/or repair electrical and mechanical equipment on the CALP line
• Responsible for logging out Spare parts to ensure spare parts inventory stays accurate
• Communicate and work with fellow Multi-Craft Maintenance personnel, Plant Maintenance personnel, Engineering, CM/CALP Operators and Contractors to avoid breakdowns and minimize downtime and meet department KPIs
• Identify, problem solve and communicate to appropriate personnel irregularities in equipment and follow the escalation plan to ensure proper resources are informed to minimize downtime
• Assist with the creation of standardized work instructions, LOTO procedures, Kaizens and continuous improvement documentation for the CM/CALP maintenance processes
• Follow approved standardized work, PM and WO instructions
• Document and communicate any equipment discrepancies or abnormalities & validate all work.
• Operate material handling equipment
• Operate in such way that helps to establish, maintain and continuously improve the CM/CALP line
• Maintain a climate of mutual respect, effective relationships and teamwork
• Attend all training as assigned
• Ensure work area is in a clean orderly condition
Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least three years of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment and/or graduated from a mechanical and/or electrical program from a technical college required
• Must meet or exceed the pre-placement assessment requirements
• Ability to perform phsical and labor intensive tasks
• Willing to work a rotating shift and overtime as required including weekends and holidays
• Ability to adjust to the changing needs of a fast-paced manuacturing environment
