DESCRIPTION:
Duties:  Write mission critical software in the core technologies using multi-threaded programming, transaction handling (JMS, Database), with high throughput. Create technical design recommendations for developing and integrating programs per written specifications. Create automated unit tests using flexible/open source frameworks and test-driven development. Utilize multiple programming languages and software technologies to ensure applications are suitably fit for use and admissible for maintenance/upgrades including Java, JavaScript frameworks (REACT.js/Angular), Distributed Cache (Gemfire, Hazel, Memcache), RESTful microservices, and source code control software (e.g. Git, subversion). Analyze business requirements and design new modules/functionality in partnership with SMEs and staff from product, sales, operations, and other technical staff. Examine applications to ensure adherence to firm guidelines, processes and procedures. Work with global team of developers, operational business SMEs and users.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum experience required: 5 years of experience in application development, or related experience.
Skills required: Experience designing and developing REST microservices using J2EE technologies including Java 8, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate. Experience writing multithreaded applications with high throughput using Java 8. Demonstrated knowledge of asynchronous communication using Messaging queues using JMS. Experience with source code version control GIT. Demonstrated knowledge of build tools including Apache ANT and Apache MAVEN. Experience working with RDBMS databases including Oracle and non-relational database including Neo4j.  Demonstrated knowledge of UI programming languages including Javascript. Experience designing and developing test cases for services developed using testing frameworks Junit and Cucumber. Experience creating and maintaining technical specifications for the REST APIs.
