DIRECTOR OF NURSING Leadership Hours: 8-430p flexible, on call 24/7 Days - Full-time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: OH 2013-80 - 47012A
Job Summary Provides leadership and direction for areas of responsibility. Works collaboratively with senior leadership for strategic planning. # Job Responsibilities Develops department goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system. Directs and/or assists in prompt resolution of issues and complaints. Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in assigned areas of responsibility. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services. Monitors and adheres to annual hospital operating budget. Approves and/or monitors expenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines. Ensures a high level of patient care is maintained in assigned areas of responsibility through coordination and management of personnel and resources. Uses sound business and clinical management strategies to maintain and improve quality; ensures appropriate access; meets established financial goals; develops, implements, and communicates a service line plan, which is aligned with and supports corporate goals. Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Works autonomously within a stressful environment. Qualifications Bachelor#s degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire OR Master#s degree or higher in nursing related field required upon hire A minimum of 5 years# relevant experience required RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required upon hire Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Department specific competencies for positions are detailed in the unit/department scope of practice.
