About the Role:
CrowdStrike is in search of a Senior Performance Systems Engineer to evaluate the efficiency and scalability of applications on new and existing hardware platforms.
The candidate will play an important role in the architecture and management of our production systems environments.
Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate technical resources for the purpose of driving both internal and external team projects to completion
Analyze requirements and develop solutions of technical problems based on complex business needs
Hold regular, frequent project meetings to address challenges and drive milestones
Report regularly to leadership on the status of critical projects
Understand complex technical systems architecture and make recommendations for improvement
Represent the systems team as a technical leader and provide direction and insight for projects, discovery, and problem management
Familiarity with large-scale production deployments of servers and applications inside internal datacenter
Ability to write simple to moderately complex scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, alarms.
(common uses: Python, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, Go)

Qualifications:
Experience leading projects and delivering solutions through completion
Demonstrated leadership ability of technical employees
Expertise with Linux engineering and administration for thousands of bare metal and virtual machines
Expertise with virtualization administration, preferably VMWare 6+ in a clustered environment
10+ years of experience working in a large-scale production environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
2-3 business related trips per year for group meetings
Must work effectively and professionally with cross-functional groups across divisions, worldwide, as part of a team
Must be able to work with a distributed team in multiple time zone
Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and have the ability to make good, timely decisions
Demonstrate self-learning capabilities, taking initiative in a fast pace/quickly changing environment
Experience with threat intelligence and mobile technology a plus
