SAIC is seeking a GCCS SME for a deployable joint C2 system based in Tampa, FL.
The candidate will support the JEXC2 Program Operations & Maintenance Support (JPOMS) Mission Support Center program, based out of Panama City at the Naval Surface Warfare Center. The MSC is an agile team providing live 24/7-365 support to the Warfighter using US Navy Joint Expeditionary Command and Control (JEXC2) systems. These C2 systems are composed of software applications, databases, and hardware products and processes from multiple defense services and other government agencies. They interface with U.S. National, Allied, Coalition (multinational), and Joint organizations, and employ a spiral development process to take advantage of technology upgrades and evolving non-developmental military and commercially available equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
• System administration, network administration, communication, and infrastructure
• Embedded personnel are considered mission essential and deployable on any Regional Combat Command exercises or operations that require the use of C2 Family of Systems
• The Team provides on-site technical support at the garrison and deployed locations where the C2 system is fielded
• Teams located at these sites shall support not only those specific geographical locations, but also all C2 FoS deployment sites within the RCC’s Area of Responsibility (AOR) as needed.
• Support will be provided for current and future C2 systems to include Global Command and Control System (GCCS)
Work Schedule
Typical operation and maintenance support is 5 days a week for each fielded system. Typical core operating hours at each location are 800 to 1700. Work hours in excess of 40 hours per week per person may be required during contingency operations (deployments or exercises), an alternate work schedule may be required to support 24/7 operations.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree and five (5) or more years of related experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and zero (0) years experience; Four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
Required Qualifications :
Experience with the following:
• Software Administration of Global Command and Control System (GCCS)
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux Administration
• Agile Client
• Sybase
Additional Requirements:
• Ability to obtain DOD 8570 IAT II certification
• Must be able to obtain a Computing Environment certification within 6 months of start date (Microsoft, Linux, operating environment type certifications)
• Security + certification
Clearance:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.  Must have at least an Interim Secret security clearance to start.
