The IT Project Senior Manager (GFT Project Management Capabilities Manager) accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.
Role will provide PM Capabilities and Transformation services to the GFT PM Community.  Focus will be to establish and execute a robust program to improve Quality of execution and the supporting processes.
Responsibilities:
•    Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of existing processes. Take a data driven approach to quantify effectiveness of processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
•    Identify, prioritize and execute against identified opportunities and PMO Transformation initiatives to drive end to end operational efficiency.
•    Partner with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization to promote an integrated approach for increased delivery quality.
•    Develop and maintain a strategic change management plan to improve PMO Community core competencies
•    Collaborate with subject matter experts, key stakeholders and PMO team members to identify sustainable solutions, that can be proven successful through metrics.
•    Define and administer regular skills assessment across the broader PMO Community to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
•    Design, plan and implement targeted PMO learning programs through multiple media utilizing researched and effective training techniques
•    Develop and present reporting for Senior Management that accurately articulates PMO demand and utilization
Qualifications:
• 6-10 years experience in a related technology role with commensurate people management experience
• 6-10 years of experience in project management, primarily in financial services
• Experience in supervising project managers/business analysts/project officers
• Experience in interaction at Board/Executive management level of businesses
• Broad understanding of business practices
• Demonstrates capacity to work in highly pressured & volatile environments
Education:
• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
