As a result, our Program Assistants are crucial to our success and the overall members' experience at our Centers! Our Program Assistants / PCAs / Activities Assistants can do it all as they supportive and functional care to our members. Our Program Assistants / PCAs / Activities Assistants help members with activities, personal and medical care, meals, and on and off-site social activities. Yes, our Program Assistants are most definitely ACTIVE!! Our Program Assistants are always smiling and creating a warm and welcoming environment, all while ensuring our members are safe, happy, and well.
Responsibilities
Our Program Assistants / PCAs / Activities Assistants have a number of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
• Assists members with activities of daily living and personal care
• Assisting with the planning and facilitation of creative and diverse therapeutic recreational programs and encourage member participation.
• Serving meals and assisting with feeding
• Ensuring our members enjoy a loving and caring environment that will bring joy to our members’ heart and a smile to their faces!
Qualifications
Qualifications for our Program Assistants / PCAs / Activities Assistants include but are not limited to:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• At least one-year full-time equivalent experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Prior experience working seniors and/or adults with special needs preferred.
• Minimum of one-year full-time equivalent experience preferred.
• Prior experience working with seniors and/or adults with special needs preferred.
• This is a very physical job - we are ACTIVE Day after all! As a result, you will need to be able to:
• Push, pull, lift, transfer, pivot at least 50 pounds.
• Sit, Stand and/or Walk up to 8 hours a day
