Tampa Microwave is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Manpack & Fly Away satellite terminals designed and built for the expeditionary user community to guarantee communications connectivity in the most austere environments. Tampa Microwave primarily serves Federal and Department of Defense markets.
We currently have an opening for a Production Test Technician III in our Clearwater, FL location. The primary function of this position is to serve as a point of contact on the production floor for the Production Supervisor and lower-level technicians with regards to operations associated with then integration and testing of production hardware.

Responsibilities
• Provide oversight and problem-solving skills required to ensure the production test team meets its monthly and weekly shipment goals.
• Participate in production status meetings to address variances in forecasted shipments or changes to the production teams' goals.
• Make recommendations to the production supervisor when there are issues regarding test and measurement activities that may affect the teams target goals.
• Periodically brief the production supervisor and manufacturing engineer on any issue's relation to training, tools, test equipment and documentation, that are affecting sales order completion. Provide recommendations for correction action.
• Participate in the indoctrination and training of temporary and permanent technician personnel, when directed by the Production Supervisor.
• Ensure integration and test processes conform to released documentation.
• Provide input to production supervisor on production metrics that identify integration and test inefficiencies.
• Utilize this data and lean manufacturing principles to work with the production supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer and Quality assurance manager to increase integration and test throughout and reduce cost.
• Provide scheduled in -house maintenance checks and adjustments to equipment when required.
• Use superior experience in RF test and alignment techniques, to test and align RF products, and make ready for weekly and monthly shipments and assist other technicians when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

• U.S. Permanent Residency or US Citizenship required.
• May be selected for work that requires ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Level Security Clearance.
• AS degree or military equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progression experience in the integration and test of complex digital/ microwave hardware.
• Ability to lift test equipment and hardware up to 25 lbs with or without assistance.
• Some domestic travel may be required.
