IT SUPERVISOR - CLINICAL APPLICATIONS Information Technology Hours: M-F 8AM - 4:30PM Days - Full-time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: OH 2013-78 - 45021B
Job Summary Works in conjunction with the Applications Manager and other members of staff assisting the manager in day-to-day activities related to planning, management, oversight, coordination, and execution of assigned projects and initiatives. Serves as a subject matter expert in the area of responsibility and performs hands-on staff duties as required to meet required IT service levels. Acts as a liaison when needed between the hospital#s clinical and business areas and the IT department. Assists the manager in the determination of needs and requirements for clinical and business applications at Owensboro Health and providing optimal support in accordance with Owensboro Health goals. # Job Responsibilities Assists in hiring, developing, and leading a team of analysts supporting various enterprise applications including Epic. Leads the configuration, build, install, support, and ongoing maintenance of all applications supported by IT. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives; converts user requirements and needs into detailed application specifications documentation; defines and creates document flows and program decision points; and creates and maintains the knowledge database. Participates in the handling and resolution of IT issues and complaints by performing ##hands-on## duties as required. Facilitates user adoption of Owensboro Health enterprise applications across teams and throughout the organization by providing end-user training and support. Collaborates closely with, and communicate between, IT leadership and the clinical/business community to provide leadership for clinical/business systems projects and initiatives. Assists in the development of policies and procedures and provides guidance on application best practices to various clinical/business and process improvement committees in Owensboro Health for the optimal usage of Information Systems. Remains abreast of trends and developments in HIT and uses this knowledge to help develop application roadmap and to align the roadmap with the Owensboro Health strategic plan. Qualifications Bachelor#s degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire OR Bachelor#s degree or higher in Business required upon hire OR Bachelor#s degree or higher in Clinical Nursing Informatics required upon hire OR Bachelor#s degree or higher in Information Technology required upon hire A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. A minimum of 2 years# relevant experience required No licensure/certification/registration required Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
