Job Purpose
As a Delivery Driver you will help meet the needs of customers by delivering and picking up products in a timely, safe and courteous manner.  Incumbent must ensure that the department’s functions are carried out in an efficient, timely manner and ensuring operation expectations are functioning smoothly.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to any duty as assigned)
• Communicate daily with Colonial team members, drivers, and members of the public; providing assistance where required
• Maintain solid employee relations
• Review current day’s work to ensure all areas have been serviced
• Safely transport products to customer locations in a timely, safe, and courteous manner.
• Delivery process including packing lists, Invoices, COD & Return processing
• Maintain the service and appearance of truck
• Follow delivery/pickup instructions
• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Follow route and time schedule
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicle
• Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints
• Collect payments
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Manage all duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
• Excellent communication, leadership skills and great organizational skills with and an eye for details.
• Customer Service able to communicate effectively in English  -  Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Must hold a valid Commercial Class A Driver’s License.
• Must qualify physically, and obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate, under the requirements of 49 CFR, Section 391 43-49 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Must have a driving record in Good Standing and No DUI/DWI or drug conviction in last 5 years
• Previous CDL Driving experience (2 years)
• Professional appearance
• Ability to read maps efficiently
• Strong customer service
• The ability to walk, bend, reach, push, stoop, squat, and climb, as necessary, to perform vehicle inspections required under 49 CFR Sections 396.11-15 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Ability to function well as part of a team
• Diligent attention to detail and safety
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Acceptable DOT drug test history
• Able to handle Cash transactions
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Good analytical and mathematical knowledge.
• Ability to be flexible with work schedule on short notice.
