GENERAL SUMMARY:
Assists electricians with daily operations and provides support to Electrical Engineering with the design and management of engineered electrical control systems associated with the plant operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists electrician with daily trouble calls which may include PLC and motor/ drive troubleshooting.
• Performs minor PLC/ HMI programming modifications.
• Assists with updating one lines and machine control drawings.
• Assists engineering in design and specification of safeguarding throughout the plant.
• Assures critical spares are on hand.
• Fills in for absence of Day Shift Electrical Supervisor.
• Networks IT at the machine level.
• Builds, calibrates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical instruments and testing equipment.
• Plans and schedules project work with operations.
• Assures electrical maintenance procedures are followed/ upheld.
• Assure electrical safety policies are followed.
RELATED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follows prescribed safety procedures so as to prevent injury to self and others and to maintain safe equipment and conditions in entire plant.
• Is familiar with maintenance procedures and operating standards.
• Knows the location of all switches, valves, tools, and emergency equipment in assigned area.
• Trains in confined space safety and emergency rescue procedures.
• Attends and satisfactorily completes training courses as prescribed by management and regulatory agencies.
• Maintains a safe and clean working area.
• Reports all accidents, incidents, injuries and unsafe acts or conditions to the supervisor immediately.
• Performs all other tasks as assigned by manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.  Associates Degree in Electrical Technology/ Electronics is required.
