Responsibilities:
• Communicate in a clear and accurate manner with others who have varying degrees of technical expertise.
• Be able to work effectively in challenging situations both individually and as part of a team.
• Create documentation such as design documents, workflow diagrams, flowcharts, etc.
• Design, develop, modify, debug and implement short- and long-term solutions to IT needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems and applications infrastructure for use throughout the Company.
• Analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new systems, devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting, perform coding and test/debug programs.
• Develop system implementation plans.
• Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation.
• Maintain Project Life Cycle (PLC) standards.
Requirements:
• Communicate in a clear and accurate manner with others who have varying degrees of technical expertise.
• Detailed, Process oriented, Self-motivated with ability to work effectively in challenging situations both individually and as part of a team.
• 8+ years’ experience and highly proficient in RPG, RPG-ILE, CL, SQL, AS/400 environments, DDM, DB2 Database, XML, FTP, SFTP and Web Services
• 3+ years’ experience on supporting business critical production environment
• 4+ years of RPG free programming experience.
• 4+ years of Embedded Sql or SQL programming experience.
• 2+ years’ experience on data migration from/to legacy applications or systems
• 2+ years’ experience with agile methodologies, managing backlogs and sprints
• Should have familiarity working on Restful API's and/or SOAP API's
• Strong understanding of the IBM I (previously known as iSeries or AS/400) system.
• Strong understanding of database design including normalization, triggers, constraints etc.
• Familiarity with source code control software such as Turnover/xAnalysis.
• Strong decision making, analysis and problem solving skills with ability to multi-task
• Strong interpersonal skills
Nice to Haves:
• Telecom software knowledge.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with technologies such as JSON, XML and Java.
