Responsibilities
The Marketing Reporting & Analytics team within the Marketing Department at State Farm is seeking a Data Analyst. This role consults on key performance indicators for Marketing strategies and initiatives, analyzes product, customer, and geographic opportunities, and conducts research to optimize marketing effectiveness.
Core Research and Reporting responsibilities include:
• Developing analytical solutions to meet the needs of Marketing business partners
• Compiling, preparing, and translating complex data into user-friendly reports with actionable insights
• Partnering with associates to implement and execute research and reporting activities
Qualifications
Highly Preferred Skills and Experiences:
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS or ability to readily acquire proficiency based on experience with comparable programming/querying languages
• Experience working across multiple computing platforms and operating systems, such as Linux, DB2, Hadoop, or AWS environments
• Ability to extract, manipulate and analyze complex sets of data to provide insights across a broad range of business needs and target audiences.
• Extensive experience producing reports and presentations using business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Tableau, QlikView, etc.).
Other Skills and Experiences
• Ability to work effectively, both individually and as a member of a project or Agile team
• Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and/or research/experimental design
• Experience with Digital Analytics
