Primary Area of Accountability
The Wave Planner position is responsible for enhancing order workflow by analyzing, developing and implementing logistic plans that affect distribution and inventory utilizing the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and TPS (Transportation Planning System). Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.
Resolves planning concerns by determining the root cause, selecting the best solution, expediting corrective action and adjustment as well as following up to ensure resolution.  Builds a sense of customer commitment throughout the business unit and works cooperatively with other members of the operation to continually improve customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Maintains and consolidates orders in TPS until their scheduled pick and ship plan, allowing for an efficient transportation plan
• Analyzes and systematically planning orders based on specific criteria; product group, air freight and customer.
• Monitors WMS open order report to ensure that all orders have been systematically planned in accordance with the planning schedule.
• Interacts with the DC personnel in resolving order inconsistencies; quantity and carrier discrepancies.
• Maintains the wave release log.
• Provides the Distribution Center leadership teams any transportation, order or inventory issues that may impede their ability to plan appropriately.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as required
Basic Qualifications • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
• Minimum 6 months of warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience
• Experience with inventory and warehouse software, databases, and systems preferred
• Computer proficiency including software systems such as Microsoft Office, TPS, WMS, and/or other Inventory and Database software systems.
• Knowledge of logistics and production planning concepts
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
This is a non-climate controlled facility.
