The Position: Sr. Performance Public Relations / Affiliate Marketing Manager
As the Sr. Performance PR / Affiliate Marketing Manager your job is to develop and execute strategies on multiple client accounts to achieve their goals for their affiliate programs. You will be responsible for the success of key client accounts led by the Performance PR / Affiliate Marketing Team and expected to be a subject matter expert for affiliate marketing, oversee media partnerships for media buying (sponsored content, affiliate marketing, newsletters, podcasts). You will efficiently analyze and strategize for new partnerships to scale traffic and revenue for our clients.
As The Sr. Performance PR / Affiliate Marketing Manager you must be focused, energetic, efficient, and agile. You are highly organized with excellent communication skills, able to build relationships, and draw on both existing affiliate experience as well as the expertise of Rubix Agency’s resources. This position is crucial to the success of the agency - we’re eager for this next team member to help us grow this team and deliver the industry-leading results our clients are accustomed to.
About You
• 5+ years of industry experience. Digital marketing experience managing “the making” or delivery of great work in the affiliate or public relations space, with retail and/or D2C experience
• Demonstrated experience in managing affiliate programs in key platforms - an ability to efficiently and effectively educate and mentor team members in how to efficiently drive results
• Ability to manage multiple clients and direct reports efficiently; while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
• Leadership mentality, owning and encouraging strong internal relationships while still being able to listen, learn, mentor, and delegate as required is essential
• A strong intellectual curiosity and a passion for using data to drive your decisions. You must be able to demonstrate an ability to synthesize data from multiple sources, identify trends, and concisely report meaningful findings. The use of data to drive communication and marketing strategy within the team and directly with clients is key.
• Agency or publisher experience required
Responsibilities
• Develop, grow, and manage relationships with affiliate partners and publishers (while having an understanding of the client’s business models and key industry trends) driving communication strategy with partners ensuring they are up-to-date with portfolio client’s new product launches and promotions. Leverage industry insight, creativity, and existing relationships to bring new opportunities to the table.
• Manage internal ongoing communication strategy and process with publishers to understand key challenges and drive innovation & improvements for our portfolio clients’ business.
• Oversee the day to day operations of our portfolio clients' affiliate marketing programs in their respective platforms.
• Perform in-depth analyses on portfolio client programs – identifying shortcomings and areas for growth as well as successful trends and competitive evaluations with the ability to synthesize and communicate effective strategies both internally and to the client
• Conduct and oversee daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports/tests reflecting campaign progress and optimizations and client reporting. From deck creation to messaging strategy lead the team with a focus on development of direct reports ability to develop into owning this process overtime.
• Guide internal team partner recruitment and development processes and strategy to ensure client goals and expectations are exceeded and team members are executing and developing. Setting expectations and benchmarks for measurability of direct report’s improvement.
• Collaboratively shape monthly sales forecasts with clients and lead strategy internally to meet those targets.
• Manage ongoing communication with publishers to understand key challenges and drive innovation/improvements for the business
The Role
• Directly contribute to strategy, forecasting, and execution of our affiliate marketing channel to meet/exceed aggressive growth targets (ROI, GMV, EPC, scaling customers) to include:
• Media negotiation and buying
• Strategic planning and implementation
• Coordination and pitching for specific promotions
• Oversee tracking and reporting
• Comfort level presenting all of the above internally and client-facing
• Establish, and scale affiliate strategies for our core clients while delivering on acquisition KPIs
• Maintain strong publisher relationships and own media negotiations and buying across multiple vendors while sourcing and vetting new opportunities for our clients
• Develop strategic, large-scale partnerships with key publishers
• Own and report on all channel specific metrics and proactively address metric shifts with strategy recommendations
• Set a high-standard for constant iteration + improvement through testing and innovation
• Optimize customer flows between publisher and client products to improve CVR
• Collaborate with internal performance managers, clients, and external PR teams to scale strategic affiliate partnerships in key segments
• Develop a strategic roadmap for continued growth across the affiliate and sponsored content channels
