Full Job Description Sunny Florida Dairy, A 110-Year-Old Brand, is seeking a Professional-Transport Driver to join our team. This Role consists of delivering our products to our Branches Through-out the State, distributing products to Big-Chain Stores and Customers receiving mass orders. Join us as we propel the brand another 110 Years.
Daily Responsibilities include:
• Fully understanding how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle
• Driving trucks with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 lbs.
• Pulling a towed weight exceeding 10,000 Ibs.
• Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit.
• Ensure content is properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage.
• Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely deliveries.
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
• Adhere to company rules and regulations
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions.
• Deliver products to customer location in a timely manner.
• Following Directions but working independently while maintaining a high level of customer service, productivity and self-motivation.
• Maintain Cleanliness of truck.
• Preform Pre and Post trip inspections or the truck daily.
• Adding Fuel, oil and fluids to truck as necessary.
• Make safety a priority at all times.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Valid Class A driver’s license required
• 2+ Years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred.
• Insurable driving record is a must.
• Ability to lift or move 50Ibs.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Must be able to maintain a fast physical pace while making accurate deliveries and operating the milk truck safely.
• Skilled at driving large vehicles
• Able to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
• High level of composure and good stress management
