TheraTree, LLC is looking for an exemplary Speech Therapy Manager to oversee the Speech Therapy Department treating the pediatric population (birth - 21 years) in the outpatient, telehealth, school, and home health settings. Potential for Clinical Manager promotion in alignment with the company strategic plan.
Therapy Manager Purpose: To be responsible for Speech Language Pathology staff and ensure the department provides patient treatment that grows minds, bodies, and spirits. Specifically: A child’s voice is heard, understood, and is understanding others.
Responsibilities:
• Support TheraTree's mission of treating the whole child mind, body, and spirit.
• Perform skilled therapeutic services within the Speech Language Pathologist’s scope of practice. Including: screening, evaluation, performing / interpreting standardized assessments, establishing / updating plans of care, treatment, home education programs, reassessment of progress, re-evaluation, discharge and consultation with clients and other professionals.
• Maintain all necessary client documentation, confidentiality, personal medical records for Employer to comply with state regulations, service contracts, and confidentiality.
• Produce a volume of work with a full-time caseload.
• Provide or participate in clinical fellow supervision.
• Educate the public on the scope and benefits of therapy services.
Qualifications:
• Personally aligned with accomplishing organizational goals through a team as your greatest purpose (required).
• Engaging and accurate verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills with adults and children alike.
• Motivated by targets and goals.
• Confident & outgoing.
• Thrives working in a fast paced environment.
• Able to confront difficult situations and resolves them.
• Exceptionally skilled and respected Speech Language Pathologist.
• Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology Program.
• Certification of Clinical Competence obtained from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of Kentucky.
• CPR & First Aid certification.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cost and funding to create a realistic cost effective budget for division.
• Up to date Immunizations including documentation of TB skin test.
• Pass background check.
• Valid driver's license.
Additional Information
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Evaluate client's’ functional performance, underlying deficits, and qualification for occupational therapy services in various settings.
• Create and implements patient’s individualized treatment plan, including application of therapeutic techniques in such areas as activities of daily living, fine motor skills, visual motor integration, manual dexterity, cognitive skills, muscle strength, coordination, endurance, mobility, perceptual abilities, sensory awareness, balance.
• Supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants in accordance with KBLOT regulations.
• Works with other members of the treatment team to develop programs and activities consistent with the needs and capabilities of each client.
• Instructs clients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the occupational therapy treatment program.
• Maintains appropriate and timely documentation for all clients.
• Attends and contributes to required meetings as a representative of occupational therapy.
• Ensures that clients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.
• Maintain client caseload schedule.
