Full Job Description The Safety and Fleet Insurance Adjuster will assist with supporting drivers and managers on fleet routes, destinations, and timelines, as well as keep in touch with drivers who are on the road. Safety and Fleet Assistant will interact with clients and drivers to keep up-to-date information on insurance claims and driver certifications. Some customer service experience is helpful. They ensure proper DOT regulations and state regulations are being followed.
Safety and Fleet Insurance Adjsuter Responsibilities:
• Regulates and fills of DOT information for all drivers
• Receives and processes vehicle accident and damage reports.
• Post-accident contact for any vehicle accidents and worker’s compensation incidents.
• Fill out worker’s compensation documents (Will train if needed)
• Ensures safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.
• Manages effective utilization of vehicle assets.
• Evaluates and authorizes all vehicle insurance claims by branch by vehicle.
• Utilizes effective practices and procedures involved in researching, comparing, negotiating claims.
• Maintain files notes and correspondence while performing multiple tasks associated with a fast-paced environment.
• Ensures all applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Assist with the management of Insurance policies, accidents and subrogation.
• Reviews DOT permitting and maintenance.
• Maintains titles for fleet vehicles.
Corporate Safety and Fleet Assistant Qualifications:
• Previous experience in working with fleet dispatch.
• Experience working with third party fleet management companies and related software.
• Conducted insurance negotiations, settlement and subrogation.
• Proficient in Financial and Statistical Analysis and management presentation.
Qualifications:
• College Degree with a core focus on Business or related field of study; preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to set, plan and monitor maintenance schedules.
• DOT Permitting and monitoring.
• Must be able to consent to a pre-employment background check.
• Must be able to consent to a drug screen.
