Position Summary
SFG is looking for a Shipping Supervisor. The Shipping Supervisor leads an assigned production team to achieve goals and problem solve while demonstrating a commitment to employees' safety, teamwork, and product quality. Responsible for product processing, packaging, and storage in compliance with FDA, USDA, and Specialty Foods Group LLC rules and regulations.
Core Responsibilities:
• Oversee the shipping operations for Owensboro Operations.
• Supervisor is responsible for supervising associates pulling orders, loading trucks for delivery and processing paperwork related to product delivery with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.
• Product Quality/Meeting Customer Expectations
• Achievement of Departmental KPI's
• Approving time and attendance for employees
• Managing Coaching Training of Team Members.
• Able to identify root causes and corrective actions to: Accident investigations, Customer complaints, SSOP and GMP violations
• Complete Daily Schedule Controls and understand basic mathematical concepts.
• Other duties and responsibilities that will be assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
• Minimum High School Diploma required
• Previous leadership experience in shipping strongly preferred.
• Ability to work and guide a team in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime (Daily, Short-Notice, and Weekend)
• 5 + years' experience with automated WMS or ERP systems.
• Computer literacy is a must. Ability to use Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Knowledge of IPSE a plus
• Good Attendance and Work Performance History
Additional Requirements
Must follow safety policies and practices, and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and humid environments on a variety of shifts.
Available to work overtime, including weekends.
Strong commitment to organization.
