The Medicare Sales Trainer is a multi-skilled training expert who supports product launches, training of large groups of new agents and other training events. They are expected to maintain expert status in the Medicare line of business. Those in the role will participate in content development, training new and experienced staff regarding Medicare products and processes. Will need to collaborate with internal subject matter experts to gather information for training content creation and maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Works closely with assigned teams for new or expanding projects
• Facilitates classroom training to teach program product knowledge, call handling skills, customer service/sales skills and program process and procedures
• Provides research and assists Training Design Staff in development of training materials and products as requested
• Gathers documents and distributes clear information from updates
• Monitors agent calls and agent performance to identify training gaps.
• Participates in calibration meetings with QA, Operations and management team to ensure information being trained is up to date
• Maintains class attendance and performance records of agents in training. Required Training forms (Class roster, training logs and other forms as determined on the program)
• Finds new ways to be more effective in the delivery of the training to the agents. Learn new techniques to improve classroom facilitation skills.
• Develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, intranet sites, and reference works
• Learn and train on our systems, including setup, administration, and maintenance.
• Create and evolve training content and process to maximize graduation, test score, and sales performance of new hires.
• Must work from assigned location and is able to work a flexible schedule as assigned
• Coordinate individual and team performance review sessions to discuss and judge strengths and weaknesses for future training sessions.
• Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of trainees to identify training needs in real time.
• Collect feedback from trainees and managers about training courses.
Education and Work Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years' of Medicare experience required.
• 4+ years of training and auditing experience, preferably in a managed care or healthcare environment.
• Extensive knowledge of health insurance and/or health benefits highly preferred.
• Experience in instructional design, curriculum development and/or learning & development.
• State, carrier, and AHIP Licensed
• Demonstrable proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Attendance Requirements:
Due to the nature of Benefytt Technologies, Inc. needs, regular and reliable attendance is required. Individuals must be able to work at least a 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday, and be available as situations arise requiring extended hours.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
