Full Job Description JOB TITLE : Equipment Operator
DESCRIPTION OF WORK :
Using new 2020+ Cab excavator & track loader, grade new decks and dig holes for pools using dig plans. Prefer someone living close to Pinellas Park / Clearwater / Largo or Port Richey Florida.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
• Be experienced with reading a Sight or Laser transit using grade sticks.
• Be experienced with working in residential back yards (tighter clearances).
• Load and unload equipment on trailer (CDL Driver will handle transport).
• Load and sometimes operate small 5 yard under CDL Dump Truck.
• Must have reliable transportation to our office in Port Richey or Pinellas Park Florida.
• Dig trenches using excavator for pool plumbing
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Decent driving Record with no major at fault accidents. Company vehicle provided.
- Skills in the operation of assigned equipment with the ability to understand and follow oral and written directions and diagrams.
- Ability to make emergency repairs and adjustments to equipment and the ability to safely operate all assigned equipment under all types of weather conditions.
- Be proactive and look for things to do if you haven't been given a task
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with other employees
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school graduate or GED.
- Three (3) years experience in safely operating excavation equipment
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
- Must have reliable transportation to our Office. You will then ride in company vehicles to job site until you receive a company vehicle of your own.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Works under limited supervision of the Pool Install Manager
ADA COMPLIANCE:
Physical Ability: Tasks require the ability to physically lift, push and carrying heavy objects (45 pounds and over). Reaching, climbing, walking, bending and crawling. Driving and the operation of large trucks and construction equipment is a requirement.
Sensory Requirements : Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Environmental Factors : Essential functions are performed inside and outside with exposure to various weather conditions. Regular exposure to radiant energy, electrical energy, grease or oils, solvents, odors, noisy and dusty conditions, heights and uneven surfaces.
