Job Description:
Position Responsibilities
Meet production and budgetary objectives.
Delivery of Business Plan.
Strategic Planning and Implementation.
Manage departmental performance measures and provide progress reports.
Work with Operations Management to identify and implement cost savings ideas and waste reduction opportunities.
Facilitate Continuous Cost improvement efforts.
Support and manage the TreeHouse Management System (TMOS) for his/her teams.
Provide problem solving expertise by identifying root causes for problem areas and recommending possible solutions.
Provide support for Capital Project justifications.
Provide post-installation analysis on new technology and capital equipment installations.
Analyze plant floor data and provide feedback that will enable process improvements.
Manage production supervisory staff.
Achieve plant safety goals and support all safety initiatives.
Waste reduction.
Achieve all quality objectives and meet company and customer specifications.
Establish clear goals and accountability to direct reports and provide feedback on a regular basis.
Ensure that customer service requirements are met.
Directs compliance with plant policies and procedures.
Food Safety Production Areas
Notify Supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required.
Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
Perform all duties necessary to meet American Institute of Baking (AIB), SQF, Company, and / or Government requirements and standards as prioritized by the Company.
Inform Management of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become noncompliant with specified requirements.
Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
Inform Management of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become noncompliant with specified requirements.
In the absence of immediate supervisor, will assume necessary operational and administrative duties.
Position Qualifications
Education:
B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Business, Engineering or other relevant discipline.
Minimum five years of experience in a continuous process manufacturing industry and preferably the food industry.
