JOB DESCRIPTION
The truck driver requires knowledge of safely operating and maintaining truck and trailer. We require that they be committed to the total Ajax team effort by contributing to the proper completion of the work as directed by equipment manager.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Truck driver directly reports to and is accountable to the foreman.
REQUIREMENTS:
A. EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two-years’ experience.
B. LICENSING/REGISTRATION
Required; CDL A
C. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Insure proper maintenance of truck and trailer, including tire pressures, fluid levels, lights.
2. Insure truck is properly equipped with hand tools, equipment and supplies necessary for the job in an organized and clean manner.
3. Maintain proper time and daily log of all my activities with proper job numbers
4. Keep truck clean on a daily basis.
5. Keep shop informed of operating deficiencies.
6 Must arrive on time at job site and make sure Superintendent/Foreman is contacted if
problems occur.
7 Responsible to keep all D.O.T. permits and copy of current regulations readily available.
8 Must report time spent and materials used on a daily basis as directed by foreman.
D. SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL
1. Enforce all rules listed in the Ajax employee handbook.
2. Insure all Ajax quality standards are met.
3. Insure adherence to all federal, state, local and Ajax Safety and Environmental Rules and Regulations.
E. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Field operation – Work is exposed to outdoor conditions, noise and heat.
2. Ability to work days, nights and weekends as required.
F. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The essential functions of this position includes sitting, walking, standing, climbing, reaching, bending, trunk movements, lifting minimum of 45 lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.

H. ATTENDANCE AND RELIABILITY
1. Reporting to work on time, after lunch, and not leaving early unless authorized.

3. Not abusing or taking advantage of personal days off.
4. Performing such other duties as may be required.
