We are looking for an experienced operations executive who has generated significant impact through the strategy and day-to-day tactical direction of logistics, distribution and transportation functions. The VP, Distribution plays a key role as a member of our Fanatics Brands Operations Executive leadership team, building operational strategy for owned distribution facilities and 3rd party providers. The VP will put strategies into action and work with other department leaders to design operations strategies, communicate changes to employees and support the transformation of the Logistics team. The VP is responsible for leading a high-performing team in our growing organization.
Responsibilities • Develop short- and long-term strategies for Fanatics Brands distribution centers, monitor performance against these strategies and provide input to direct report and team members.
• Create strategic plan and execute to increase profitability, productivity and efficiency.
• Define information systems requirements to support process improvement initiates. Integrate the logistics, distribution and transportation functions to support product and process excellence.
• Provide leadership that supports, motivates, and retains high-performing talent and teams.
• Lead logistics and outbound transportation processes. Implement improved processes and management methods to increase process optimization.
• Lead inbound, outbound and storage capacity needs to support the needs of the business over the short and long term.
• Build efficiencies within our logistics network including carton optimization and VAS standardization across the supply chain.
Requirements • 15+ years of broad logistics and supply chain management experience in progressively senior positions
• Ability to lead Third Party Logistics (3PL), freight companies and other logistics suppliers
• Supplier negotiation skills, proven cost reduction efforts and experience with managing contracts
• Demonstrable analytical abilities to assess financial impacts of any changes to logistics service requirements
• In depth knowledge of key supply chain/logistics processes, industry best practices, and implementing process improvements
• Strong analytical, financial & P&L skill required
• Strong prioritization skills, results oriented and the ability to build and lead strong teams
