Full Job Description Thriveworks is seeking a remote Email Specialist to join our growing team! Our mission here at Thriveworks is to help people live happy, successful lives. Compensation: $17.00/hr
Job Description:
Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments
Investigate historical data for each debt
Contact client to collect balances on accounts
Process payments and refunds
Resolve payment disputes between counselors, clients, and insurance companies
Monitor payments entered into EHR system by counselors and independently resolve issues that arise
Update account status records and collection efforts
Keep accurate records and report collection activity
Assist in data entry projects
Audit demographics
Adhere to HIPAA laws
Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information

Required:
Associate's degree in related field
3-5 years Experience with patient collections or medical billing, preferred in the mental health, medical office or collection agency for medical debt
A firm grasp of web-based billing software or Electronic Health Records
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Some sales experience along with a competitive personality
Professional acumen through action and communication
Must be able to learn new concepts and processes quickly
An above average aptitude with internet/computer use
Energetic, with a positive attitude
True and patient problem solving skills
Must be very detail oriented
Self-driven attitude and ability to work well independently
Solid work history and transferable skills
Experience in high-pressure environments
A commitment to changing schedules outside normal work hours, including weekends
Preferred:
