Full Job Description SUMMARY:
The Construction Manager will design and help build/expand dealerships at Lazydays. The Construction Manager’s responsibilities include to plan, manage, and complete construction projects and other large capital projects by reviewing design/facility layouts, estimating projects, bidding and negotiating costs, selecting approved contractors, and managing budgets. Projects should be completed within a specified time (on schedule) and within a defined cost (on budget).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Translate business and technical requirements into best in class, high quality designs that enable biddable, affordable, and constructible solutions
• Lead the construction process of qualifying, bidding, negotiating, and awarding of contracts
• Provide timely construction cost estimates for a wide range of projects and assist the team in the preparation of the project development budgets and timelines
• Manage pre-construction, construction and closeout phases of assigned projects including criteria review as well as coordination with applicable architect(s) and engineer(s)
• Manage day to day construction operations to ensure a safety-focused environment
• Foster innovation and transform traditional construction practices by driving new methods and engineering solutions by leveraging industry insights
• Deliver projects in a safe manner with uncompromising quality, on time and within schedule for world class results
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple project/programs with limited and shared resources
• Ability to foresee potential issues and concerns and the fortitude/constitution to effectively manage these to continue the progressing the project(s)
• Able to deal with significant amount of ambiguity, multiple directional changes and competing demands
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Construction Management preferred. Prior experience with general contractors is required.
• The ideal candidate has extensive construction experience as well as a broad range of business knowledge and strong problem solving skills
• Strong leadership skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills in a team environment
• Experience with large scale construction projects including expansions and greenfields
• Program management knowledge with experience in computer-based scheduling and reporting tools.
• Expert Microsoft Project capabilities
• Willingness to travel depending on the location of the project
