POSITION SUMMARY: The Supervisor, Maintenance Repair, will perform responsible supervisory duties directing the activities of subordinates and working with personnel involved in skilled trades, construction, maintenance, and/or repair activities. QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully. Education: A high school diploma, vocational or GED certificate. Degree or formal training in related field preferred. Experience: Nine (9) years of increasingly responsible experience in construction, maintenance, or the skilled trades, with two (2) years of related management or supervisory experience required or nine (9) years of custodial supervision. Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Must have a Class E drivers license and comply with the district Safe Driver Plan. Language Skills: Reads, analyzes, and interprets all kinds of documents. Responds to inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies, or community. Writes speeches and effectively presents to managers, the public, and school board. Mathematical Skills: Works with math concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Applies concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
