Description:
We're seeking a strong hands-on Java developer with excellent problem solving skills and a track record of delivery to join the regulatory reporting systems development team. The successful candidate should have experience in full software development life cycle, from defining requirements with user groups, through design, implementation and testing. He/she should be able to work independently on multiple tasks, and also act as advisor or coach to new or lower level developers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work on application improvements and development of new functionality based on the business requirements and according to the company standards
• Ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables, help to set development standards in areas of code quality, test coverage, monitoring, logging, exception management, documentation and others
• Able to analyze complex problems/issues and ensure appropriate resolution of all issues within required time-frame
Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years in Java based development projects
• Java Full Stack Developer.
• Fluency with object-oriented design methodologies
• Strong development experience with Java, Spring Framework, and Hibernate
• Solid understanding and experience with database principles including data modeling and data structures(schema design, trouble shooting, and SQL)
• Experience with Linux shell scripting
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD), and Junit
• Experience with IBM HTTP Server (IHS), WASCE, and Tomcat
• Familiarity with source-code management tools such as Git and software release management Tools such as RLM
• Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic
• Attention to detail, especially with respect to coding for exception cases
