Description:
The Hillsborough Education Foundation (HEF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the mission to strengthen public education in Hillsborough County through advocacy, investment of resources, and programs that empower every student to achieve both academic and personal success. The Program Support Assistant is responsible for greeting incoming guests, general office reception, and administrative duties. This position primarily supports Teaching Tools Program but also supports other programs as needed. Additional administrative duties include administrative tasks related to volunteer onboarding. This is a full-time, non-exempt position working 40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
Responsibilities:
• Provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact for guests. Answer, screen, and direct callers/visitors to the appropriate team member.
• Perform basic office administrative tasks including but not limited to filing, printing, reporting, and emailing.
• Support Teaching Tools with teacher shopping, online order processing, stocking, and fulfilling teacher orders.
• Resolve issues for teachers who need assistance promptly and courteously.
• Assist with volunteer onboarding and volunteer management.
• Receive incoming donations and processing donor “Thank You” cards.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy within various software systems and reports.
• Support other programs with administrative tasks as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements:
• Education: High school diploma required. Associates degree or higher preferred.
• 1 year of administrative assistant, program support, or customer service experience required. Prior experience in a non-profit organization preferred.
• Proficiency in working with various computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to travel to events, which may occur in the early mornings, evenings, or on weekends.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33,000.00 per year
