ROLE SUMMARY: Responsible for the day-to-day delivery requests as well as shipping and receiving activities including but not limited to: making jobsite deliveries, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, pull orders for jobs, and assist with the warehouse duties as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Organize and load assigned delivery truck per request assuring load is secure to avoid damage in transit.
• Gather appropriate paperwork and tools as per request.
• Deliver goods to specific location at requested time.
• Perform job clean-offs with assistance from field personnel.
• Perform daily truck inspection.
• Follow all B & I safety rules as well as all driving rules.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance issues to the Delivery Coordinator.
• Assist in warehouse duties when not driving. This includes but is not limited to; putting materials away, sweeping, assisting other driver’s in loading trucks, stock pulls, etc.
• Report all warehouse protocol violations to manager immediately.
• Report any building maintenance or building safety concerns to warehouse manager immediately.
• Cross train in all aspects of warehouse to qualify as a backup as needed.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
• Assist in stock pulls needed.
• Assist in lawn and grounds maintenance as required.
• Assist with shipping and receiving as necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Must possess a minimum 1 year Warehouse Experience preferably in a commercial setting.
• 2 – 3 years driving a delivery truck.
• Class D driver’s License
SAFETY AWARENESS: Executes all tasks in a safe manner; utilizes safe work practices as appropriate. Will wear protective equipment when entering areas requiring same (Hard Hats, Work Boots, etc.) Undergo DPAS training necessary for travel to worksites (if applicable). B&I will train on OSHA 10, 30, as appropriate.
(B & I makes safety a priority for all roles. As such this role may contain certain PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) necessary and required in the performance of certain tasks. It is the responsibility of the incumbent in the role to ensure he/she has received all pertinent safety protective equipment, and commits to use of same when performing in the role).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to hear, and speak clearly with professional standard grammar;
· Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., must have dexterity of fingers (or mechanical substitutions).
