Job Title: Dough Nation Front of House Assistant
Department: Food Services
Reports To: Dough Nation Front of House Supervisor
Status: Non-Exempt
Salary: 10.50hr
Schedule: Part-time (Friday & Saturday 3pm-9pm, Sunday 1pm-9pm)
Location: Carrollwood
Job Functions: This position is responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the front of house operations at Dough nation store.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Assist in food preparation at Dough Nation, filling and setting up display cases as needed.
2. Restocking needed supplies at the front of the restaurant, such as napkin and silverware.
3. Taking orders for catering via e-mail and phone.
4. Providing customer service to patrons and ringing up orders accurately and professionally. Delivering orders to the customer tables.
5. Ensuring that the dining room and bathrooms remain clean and stocked.
6. Practice ServSafe operations in accordance with Health Code standards.
7. Meet personal goals and actively contribute to the achievement of the team and organizational goals as stated on the Balanced Scorecard and in the annual plan. Support the team in other tasks as assigned. Support the Holiday Center, Bridge Builders Luncheon, and other fundraising events as directed.
. Requirements:
Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED completed; prior food service experience required.
Skill Requirements: This position requires the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary framework; Must be willing to be cross-trained and utilized throughout the Inside the Box Cafe. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, orally as well as in writing. Must demonstrate a heart for the ministry of serving poor and homeless families. The position requires a degree of maturity, sensitivity to issues of faith, cross cultural and diversity issues, and the social skill to handle job-related matters in a professional and diplomatic manner. Requires the ability to supervise interns or volunteers. Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients, staff, and volunteers.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to tolerate outdoor temperatures consistent with Florida climate and endure prolonged standing/walking/bending/stooping and stretching. Must be able to relocate materials in a safe and proper manner. Must have adequate hearing and speaking ability as to take part in and provide sound oral communication and information. Must have the physical, emotional, and spiritual stamina to handle job-related issues and stress. Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.
Other: Must demonstrate legal authorization to work in the United States. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Valid FL drivers license with a good driving record and insured vehicle in order to transport self and orders when necessary
