What You Will Do
ESA is looking for a variable part-time, seasonal Environmental Field Technician in the vicinity of Tampa, FL. Qualified candidates should have education that supports the ability to assist with various aspects of wetland delineations, protected species surveys and protected species relocations. Successful candidates will fulfill the following duties:
• Supporting ESA Biologists and Environmental Scientists with surveys, wetland delineations and data collection in compliance with all field survey protocols and practices
• Entering data into spreadsheets and tables
• Supporting ESA Biologists and Environmental Scientists with protected species surveys and maintaining daily logs/datasheets
• Assisting with the safe relocation of protected species
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse technical teams
This role requires you to have the ability to work in a wide variety of field conditions (weather, terrain, etc.), walk long distances carrying a backpack, safely operate, load and transport equipment and gear, and cross fences, creeks and other obstacles. You may also be required to have a valid driver’s license and be able to work some nights and/or weekends.
