Overview
Foley & Lardner LLP is a top-tier law firm with an excellent opportunity available for a Paralegal in our Estates & Trusts Practice Group. This person will provide assistance to attorneys and clients in estate planning, estate and trust administration.
Responsibilities
• Draft documents for estate planning, probate and estate administration
• Research tax issues and prepare gift and estate tax returns
• Maintain beneficiary information
• Administer trusts and non-liquid trust assets
• Maintain frequent client contact for administration matters
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree and three (3) or more years of estate and trust administration experience (equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree)
• Must have strong Excel knowledge and proficiency with estate and tax software
• Knowledge of beneficiary information, scheduling distributions, processing gifts and receipt of new trust assets is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team setting to meet required deadlines with minimum supervision
