Full Job Description Do you enjoy working outdoors, working hard, and traveling? This opportunity is for you! Being trained as a driller, you'll travel to different work sites and assist the crew leader in basic drilling techniques.
Boart Longyear, the industry leader in drilling services, is growing and looking to hire some new Traveling Drilling Assistants. As a Traveling Driller Assistant you will learn to operate a drill…. A really big drill. As you learn more about the drill, you make more money.
We pay for all of your training and all of your safety gear. We want you to grow with us and learn to operate your own drill one day. To start as a Traveling Drilling Assistant, you will help with:
• Hauling supplies to and from the drill site
• Manual material handling
• Mixing drilling fluids
• Assisting the driller in the drilling processes
Qualifications:
• Be willing to travel weeks at a time and work in remote locations
• Be able and willing to work overtime up to 12 hour shifts
• Have a valid Driver's License
• Must pass a Background Test and Drug Screen
