Full Job Description A float is required to work until 7pm and/or work some weekends when needed. This will not happen every day or every weekend; however floats are expected to make every effort to stay late and/or work weekends when asked with little prior notice. This doesn’t happen often, but it can and will happen. It is expected that most of the time a float is asked to cover, the float will say yes. There will be occasional times when a float cannot work when needed when given little notice; this is understandable. Many current MOAs and Receptionists started as floats, and moved to a permanent location after a minimum of 6 months as a float. To be eligible and considered for a permanent location, a float must have consistently shown the positive work ethic and dedication the float position requires. A float is required to be trained and ready to work in all different areas and positions in the practice. Some areas may be preferred more than others but in every position floats must give 100% at all times. Taking very detailed notes during training in each area are helpful for floats to refer to when working in different areas. The float position is a challenging one, requiring attention to detail, especially in the beginning. Once trained, a float will see every reception area and every MOA area are very similar. There are a few minor differences that are specific to the different providers, but the basic process and work is the same. Float duties are always subject to change Job Type: Full-time
