Job Summary for Director of Financial Reporting:
Loxley Services is seeking a motivated Director of Financial Reporting to oversee all company financial reporting activities to ensure it stays in strong financial standing. This position will work with the executive team to build and deliver financial policies and strategies that improve the business’ financial status. This position requires very strong personnel management skills, technical accounting interpersonal and communications skills, as effective interaction with senior management is a critical to success.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities for Director of Financial Reporting:
• Leads and develops financial reporting or other applicable staff
• Coordinate the preparation of work papers and consolidated financial statements for financial reporting.
• Participate in Merger & Acquisition due diligence and coordinate Purchase Accounting as required
• Coordinate the preparation of consolidation work papers for equity in subsidiaries, including comprehensive income
• Coordinate the projections and accounting for variable management compensation programs.
• Coordinate the implementation and documentation of financial controls for international subsidiaries to be in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
• Coordinate the corporate testing program over financial reporting as required by the Sarbanes Oxley Act and performance of operational audits.
• Supports the CFO and finance management team to ensure financial compliance
• Generates and continually improves reporting to leadership and the board. Responds to management inquiries regarding financial information and performance measures, as needed
• Coordinate the Financial Reporting to the Board of Directors
• Assist in the coordination of annual audits and quarterly review activities of external auditors
• Monitor and ensure timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance, provide US GAAP interpretation, and prepare technical memorandums that document issues in a clear, logical, and comprehensive manner
• Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements
• Perform continuous assessment of the close process and process re-engineering to reduce the timing to close the financial period
Required Skills & Competencies for Director of Financial Reporting:
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP and GASB rules and regulations is required combined with the ability to research and propose company positions on complex accounting issues
• Ability to coordinate reporting from an integrated, CRM and financial reporting system
• Experience with general accounting and financial practices, including internal controls over financial reporting and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
• Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation
• Excellent mathematical and analysis skills
• Ability to lead departments and individuals
• Verbal and written communication skills to create reports and present them to others
• Knowledge of analysis and financial software
• Advanced Excel knowledge
• CPA or CMA license preferred
• Bachelors degree in accounting/finance required, Masters degree preferred.
• At least seven years of experience in a Director of Financial Reporting type of role.
