Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED or Registered Pharmacist Intern
• Up to one (1) year general office/clerical experience; preferably in a medical setting
• Well-developed interpersonal skills: ability to be tactful and understanding in contacts with patient/families, physicians, volunteers and other Company staff
• Good communication (written and verbal) skills
• Proficient at data entry and Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; strong level of computer literacy
• Analytical and thorough in work

Job Responsibilities:
• Reviews and prioritizes prescription information in the DocuTrack system for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to process.
• Answers all incoming telephone calls and screens for appropriate routing or handling of call.
• Reviews and responds to emails from clinical staff regarding requests that do not require clinical/medical intervention.
• Assists in retrieval of refill orders from automated prescription line and enters into WebRefill module.
• Assists with management of computer master files and maintains updated prices in the computer system(s), ensuring security and confidentiality of all data collected and contained within the department.
• Completes patient demographic data entry for maintaining up-to-date medication profiles.
• Processes completed packages for shipping via UPS. Utilizes Delivery track system for monitoring courier service deliveries, reprocessing returned packages, and provides delivery information to the clinical staff.
• Restocks prescription vials, bottles, and supplies. Assists in ensuring pharmacy work areas are kept clean and orderly.
• Checks for outdated medications each month, removes outdated medications from inventory, and fills out appropriate report.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
