Job Summary:
The Aeroderivative Field Services Methods Developer III will partner with Gas Power stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop, create, revise, and maintain field procedures (FP) and other methods for aeroderivative products. The primary focus will be to provide quality, consistent FPs and methods to enable Field Service outage excellence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop, create, revise, and maintain field procedures (FP) and other methods for aeroderivative products
• Implement standardization and improvements of aeroderivative FPs and methods.
• Collaborate with FieldCore, GE Engineering and Training teams to develop and improve methods.
• Follow the Methods revision control process, implementing approved recommendations from Field Execution teams
• Update FP's as required for NPI tooling development
• Read and work from blueprints, schematic diagrams, and specification manuals
• Break down maintenance activities into concise, step by step written procedures tailored to average field service trained personnel
• Review Corrective Actions from RCA's and FieldCore feedback that require FP changes
• Travel may be required
• Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required
• May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive the FieldCore vision and align with our organization's core values.
Required Qualifications & Experience :
• Technical degree or applicable technical experience
• 8+ years of experience in Aeroderivative Field Services or Aeroderivative Engineering
• Strong English language communication capability, both verbal and written
• Experience writing technical procedures or documents
• Skills in MS Office tools
For Controls:
• Experience in instrumentation, controls, installing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing equipment or equivalent
• Expert knowledge of Gas Turbine Control Systems and Auxiliary Systems including but not limited to Woodward Netcon, Micronet, Micronet Plus, GE Mark V, VI, Vie, Fanuc, RX3i, and RX7icontrols systems
For Mechanical:
• Experience with industrial equipment that involves lifting / rigging, maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial mechanical service equipment.
• Experience with GE Aeroderivative Engines, LM2500, LM6000 or LMS100 gas turbines
Desired Characteristics:
• Preferable field experience on Wonderware, Cimplicity and iFix HMI software
• Strong team player attitude; maintain flexibility within the changing business priorities
• Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to complete multiple projects within time constraints
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
