This position will manage a team responsible for management of Risk Weighted Assets Reporting Processes within the Finance and Risk Shared Services (FRSS) US Regulatory Reporting.
The candidate will work closely with the program partners including Chief Data Office (CDO), Capital Planning, Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), Corporate Regulatory Reporting (CRR) and Finance and Risk Senior Management.
The candidate will have a robust understanding of Regulatory Reporting and/or Risk Weighted Assets(RWA) as well as a solid track record of talent development and leadership covering both local and remote locations.
Key success factors will be this position’s ability to manage the team to deliver the FRSS RWA Reporting and Analytics goals, establish trusted partner relationships with key stakeholders and effective expectation management through superior communication and metrics within RWA work space.  Additionally managing the process with strong operation discipline to eliminate inefficiencies, strengthening controls, monitoring through metrics and driving for improvement
Responsibilities:
• Be a team lead to support the analysis and submission of reports for Basel RWA Reporting based on US Regulatory requirements.  Primary focus will be on ensuring the end to end integrity of the RWA results and the processes / procedures the team uses to achieve their deliverables
• Manage activities projects and solutions related to production close for the US RWA reporting supporting multiple entities
• Recommend goals, policies, and plans for FRSS RWA Reporting for relevant scope
• Represent FRSS RWA Reporting in communications and discussions with internal and external auditors, Independent Risk Review and Regulators
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
• Lead a team to develop metrics to drive process improvements, process enhancements and enhanced controls
• Provide inputs for UAT testing and results validations for the RWA Reporting Change manage process
• Develop and effectively leverage project plans and metrics to coordinate, execute and track key activities and deliverables and monitor and continuously improve processes and systems.
• Work closely with key FRSS, Finance, Risk and Technology partners to ensure alignment with strategic goals, robust status and expectation management including collaboration to remove roadblocks and optimize opportunities.
• Implement and align effective processes and controls to support a sustainable audit ready production process around RWA Reporting. Evaluate risk and controls needed to manage tactical solutions required to deliver timely and accurate RWA Reporting for key partners.
• Deliver effective status communication to Senior Management.
• Manage and deliver productivity goals including financial targets as applicable.
• Talent development through leadership best practices and effective communication.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 10+ year’s work experience in finance, accounting and / or risk. Experience managing large projects in complex operational environments. Solid team building and Leadership track record.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar discipline
• 10+ years of related work experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required.
• Excellent analytical background and skill set to understand Regulatory Reporting (Basel / Risk Weighted Assets strongly preferred) processes, including system data flows.
• Ability to articulate complex topics into concise executive summary information that can consumed by seniors.
• Able to work with large volumes of data from different sources. Experience using coding skills, analytical tools, SQL, R, SAS or Python preferred
• Must possess knowledge of Finance and US Regulatory workflows and reporting application systems and experience in the utilization of database technology.
• Self-motivated with ability to make decisions and maintain a controlled environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours or on an Alternative Work Space (AWS) environment.
• Ability to multi-task, be proactive and goal-oriented.
• Previous Management experience, strong people leadership skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholder and execute on stakeholder management
• Excellent issue management and negotiation skills
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written) and confidence to work with different levels of management.
Preferred but not required:
• Masters in Accounting or Economics; Certified Public Accountant or International Equivalent; Certified Financial Analyst.
• Previous experience with Lean Methodology / Six Sigma.
• Previous exposure to Prudential Reports, CCAR, Basel or Country Risk.
