Pfizer has established a chief digital office which will lead the transformation of Pfizer into a digital powerhouse that will generate patient superior experiences that will result in better health outcomes.
The Analytic Tools and Platforms team, which is part of Analytics, Data & Learning org within the Chief Digital Office is responsible for the development and management of all data and analytic tools and platforms across the enterprise – from scientific/clinical to commercial across all Pfizer geographies.
In this role, we are looking for frontrunners to carry product mindset in developing and driving adoption of Data as a Product capabilities.
You may have a software development background, or an engineering background or you were raised in a modern data analytics culture from the start of your career. You will have the ability to work with technology vendors, engineers & architects from different functions and senior Pfizer stakeholders in shaping the future of data operations.
• Plan the core of data hub platform by assessing the types of use cases, processing flexibility and delivery mode that stakeholders require.
• Lead the data design of large-scale programs; translate high-level business requirements into data fabric and its flow into enterprise applications with adequate metadata and quality standards.
• Work with senior Digital stakeholders to secure strong engagement for the design and ensure that the delivery of the programs align to longer-term strategic roadmap.
• Identify quantifiable success criteria for data use-cases that span multiple business functions. Directly connect the success criteria to the data assets that enable them.
• Manage and maintain the curated datasets as code. Continuously test the data with embedded scripts for quality degradation, bugs, incidents and ensure SLA.
• Accelerate collaboration between mandatory data owners and consumers through cataloging and review processes.
• Work with the platform team and make metadata seamlessly flow across all downstream tools.
• Define and own a common data property model that includes key types of data quality checks.
• Implement integrated and reusable data pipelines compliant with security and regulatory requirements.
• Drive implementation and automation of ecosystem capabilities by working in close partnership with data owners and Pfizer Digital teams.
• Closely collaborate with the domain specific data teams to govern the local versus central datasets ownership.
• Conceptualize and implement big data infrastructure and services required to operationalize the data fabric.
• Enforce stable/consistent as well as variant/context-specific semantics across multiple data and analytics settings.
• Play an evangelist role in bringing adoption towards a common data hub.
• Partake in technology partners’ customer advisory board and advance data tools vision.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
• BS in Computer Science or an engineering field
• Masters preferred or equivalent experience in information management systems
• Minimum 10+ years of software development, testing, and technology or product management experience in the field of Data & Analytics
• Minimum 5+ years of data product management experience to deliver an unparalleled data engineering/design
• Solid understanding of data mesh principles
• Experience driving product management for an enterprise platform
• Extensive engineering, product development leadership and stakeholders’ management
• Strong experience with popular database programming languages including SQL, PL/SQL, others for relational databases
• Strong experience in working with large, heterogeneous datasets in building and optimizing data pipelines, pipeline architectures and integrated datasets
• Strong experience in working with data science teams in refining and optimizing data science and machine learning models and algorithms
• Basic experience in working with data governance/data quality and data security teams
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple deployment environments including cloud, on-premises and hybrid, multiple operating systems and through containerization techniques
• Adept in agile methodologies and capable of applying DevOps and increasingly DataOps principles to data pipelines
