ROLE SUMMARY
The Enterprise Platforms & Security (EPS) team delivers the following capabilities for Pfizer. Business application platforms supporting Pfizer’s enterprise application and critical business processes.  Infrastructure allowing business traffic to travel where it needs to go, internally and externally, along with the appropriate access controls.  EPS secures Pfizer's most important information assets through world class controls and protections and enables Pfizer's business results by making security an enabler and not a roadblock to achieving business results.
The Finance, Sr. Associate role is the primary point of contact accountable for the financial oversight and treatment of EPS chargebacks.  The coordinator will work between the EP&S Business Management team and the EP&S Finance team ensuring that EP&S is accurately reflecting forecasted and actual chargebacks into the budget. This role will require strong analytical ability, coupled with knowledge of business / finance analysis tools and methodologies. The coordinator will be expected to respond to requests in an efficient and timely manner and produce monthly reporting packages for key stakeholders.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the oversight of chargeback entries impact on the EP&S financials, have a strong understanding of where, why, and how these entries affect EP&S service tower’s & make recommendations for where financial adjustments should be made, as necessary.
• Ownership of monthly financial compilations including reporting to local leadership and cost center managers.
• Identify and resolve monthly accounting discrepancies (e.g. variances to forecast, general ledger financial coding issues, journal entry errors, etc.)
• Root Cause Research - Research actuals vs forecast variances, identify variance as manual accounting error or legitimate business movement, follow-up with GFS or market colleagues to resolve variance and review findings with EP&S Sr. Portfolio Director, EP&S Finance Lead, EP&S Business Management Team & key stakeholders.
• Work with EP&S Sr. Portfolio Director & EP&S Finance Lead to manage annual budgeting and forecasting of EP&S chargeback’s net financial effect.
• Examine areas where budgets and expenditure exceed their agreed tolerances; drive operation of effective financial accounting and decision making.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Mathematics
• Three + years of relevant financial/accounting management experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deep understanding of finance IT systems.
• Deep understanding of Pfizer’s international financial processes
• Management Reporting and Analysis process experience
• Competency with spreadsheets & financial modelling (comfort with data manipulation and financial systems)
• Ability to identify business issues/opportunities and to frame business questions
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Knowledge of Pfizer Accounting practices and policies
Preferred:
Knowledge of various financial systems and financial reporting aspects
Financial Accountability
Will Manage ~$100M+ Opex, and Capital / Restructuring as needed.
