Full Job Description This position will focus on the management of accounts receivable and accounts payable, daily cash deposits, and maintenance of the donor records database to ensure accuracy and usefulness.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Prepares and enters bank deposits
• Records cash receipts
• Manages Accounts Receivables including recording, reconciliation, maintaining subledger, tracking, and reporting.
• Prepares pledge statements and invoices.
• Manages Accounts Payable function including entering invoices and expense reports, reviewing coding, processing cash disbursements, tracking, and maintaining charts and tables, and managing unclaimed property.
• Gathers vendor quotes as needed and may prepare cost/benefit analysis.
• Files 1099s
• Prepares journal entries
• Reconciles assigned subledgers to the general ledger
• Coordinates with other departments and staff to ensure all transactions are properly and accurately recorded
• Coordinates and works with vendors such as office equipment and building maintenance service providers.
• Participates in and assists with Month End, Budgeting, Year-End, Inventory, and Annual Audit
• Prepare various reports including activity reports, monthly financial and statistical reports, and bank deposit reports.
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements :
• College degree in a business related major required. Accounting major preferred.
• Minimum 2 years accounting experience required; Nonprofit or Government experience a plus
• Minimum Intermediate Excel skills required
• Knowledge of Accounting systems and software. Blackbaud a plus
• Must be able to pass a background check
