What do IDEA Student Recruitment Interns do?
IDEA Interns are an integral part of the IDEA Recruitment Team. Interns will grow valuable skills in marketing, communications, recruitment, event planning, and utilizing various computer systems. Intern activities include, but are not limited to:
• Regular outreach to prospective families about IDEA
• Managing student recruitment event logistics and communication
• Marketing and communication maintenance for recruitment efforts.
• Data updates on enrollment systems regarding prospective students
• Supporting families and working toward the completion of enrollment forms and paperwork
Requirements:
• Passion for working for underserved communities
• Unwavering belief that all children can go to college
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Able to commit to working 15-20 hours a week (throughout the summer)
• At least 48 hours complete of college coursework (preferred, not required)
Qualifications:
• Current GPA of 3.0 or higher (preferred)
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• Comfort presenting to groups
• Organized and detail oriented
• Highly proficient with the use of computer, web and mobile technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills: clear/personable/enthusiastic
Compensation:
• Pay Rate: $10/hour
