HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT DATA INTEGRITY SPECIALIST Professional Non-Clinical Hours: M-F 7AM - 3:30PM Days - Full-time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: OH 2013-72 - 40206A
Job Summary Responsible for the day-to-day data integrity operational functions within Owensboro Health including associated physician offices and clinics. # Job Responsibilities Maintains the integrity of the enterprise master patient index (eMPI) and works with internal and external customers to ensure synchronization of patient data within all relevant systems throughout the organization. Performs daily chart correction tasks, which include, but are not limited to: reviewing and documenting potential overlays, investigating and correcting duplicate medical record numbers, reviewing and correcting erroneous encounters, working chart correction tickets. Assists with large-scale data clean-ups and other project/group tasks as needed. Performs daily document imaging system corrections. Conducts regular document imaging audits and provides feedback to relevant managers and trainers. Reviews and corrects transcription holds and errors and communicates with appropriate leaders to resolve. Assists with building and testing providers in transcription system. Performs daily MyChart patient activations and assists with MyChart customer requests. Monitors and completes other reports, audits, documents, or queues as assigned. Keeps daily metrics as necessary. Performs release of information, chart analysis, and document imaging tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire A minimum of 1 year relevant experience required No licensure/certification/registration required Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and managing multiple tasks effectively. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
